Crown or Segmented for wet cut drilling & dry
cut drilling. |

| Crown Typesare made so the impregnated
diamond section is sintered onto the steel body of the
barrel. This gives the diamond section more strength.
The advantages are the bit can withstand more steel
reinforcement and angle drilling without damage. Segmental
Typesare made so the impregnated diamond segments ate
braized onto the steel barrel. The advantage of this
method is the barrel is easily retipped which helps
reduce the cost of drilling |
